Floyd Lawton, known as Deadshot, is a highly skilled marksman and assassin in the DC Extended Universe. He is portrayed by Will Smith in the film Suicide Squad.
Lawton operates primarily out of Gotham City. He is a notorious hitman for hire, renowned for never missing a shot. Driven by a mercenary mindset, Lawton's primary motivation is financial gain and providing for his daughter, Zoe.
Captured by Batman, Lawton is incarcerated in Belle Reve penitentiary. He is subsequently recruited by Amanda Waller into Task Force X, also known as the Suicide Squad. This covert team of dangerous criminals is tasked with undertaking high-risk missions in exchange for reduced sentences.
